For the twenty-sixth time, artists and artisans from Germany and the Baltic Sea region will present their exquisite works at the St. Petri Artisan Craft Market, offering them during Advent in one of the most beautiful venues of the Hanseatic city. Festively decorated, the lofty, light-filled space envelops visitors of all ages in a special Christmas atmosphere that can only be found at St. Petri—and which has made the Artisan Craft Market one of the highlights of the “Christmas City of the North” over the past years.
With plenty of space for browsing and discovering, visitors stroll through the hall, filled with the fragrance of apple punch and homemade cookies. The wide variety of artisans ensures that no Christmas wish goes unfulfilled. At the St. Petri Artisan Craft Market you will find the perfect gift for everyone: hand-felted fashion accessories and hand-carved wooden objects for home and garden, Herrnhut stars, fine ceramic and metalwork, unique silk and wool pieces, leather bags and belts, art objects made of glass and copper, hand-painted Christmas cards, Scandinavian-style home décor, jewelry crafted from precious metals and amber, Christmas ornaments, and toys—all with a distinctive touch.
Music by harpists, choirs, the organ, and other ensembles can be heard throughout the event.
Homemade cakes, muffins, cookies, coffee, punch, hearty soups, and quiches are served at the St. Petri Café. And of course, the tower is open—because what would a Christmas stroll through the city be without a view from above of Lübeck in Advent?
