Günter Harig Prize

Günter Harig served as pastor at St. Petri from 1988 to 2005 and played a decisive role in shaping the profile of the city and cultural church. In memory of his life and work, the St. Petri Curatorium regularly awards the Günter Harig Prize to people who – very much in Harig’s spirit – actively contribute to the common good in Lübeck. At a public ceremony, the 2025 laureate will be honored. However, her name will only be announced shortly in a portrait published by the Lübecker Nachrichten.

For the evening ceremony, at which Mayor Jan Lindenau will also give a welcoming address, St. Petri warmly invites not only the awardee’s personal guests but also all interested members of the public.

Those who wish to attend the celebration are kindly asked to register by Thursday, October 10, at the St. Petri office—either by email at info@st-petri-luebeck.de or by phone at 0451 397730.

In addition to speeches and music, visitors can also look forward to a convivial gathering later in the evening.
