For the thirteenth year, there will be another week of favorite stories with music in Petrikirchhof this summer.

In the warmth of the last evening sun, Lübecker:innen will read from their favorite books and you can enjoy the dawn of the night with literature, music and a good glass of wine, from July 3-7, at 8:30 pm each night. Once again, young and young-at-heart Lübeckers will sit down in comfortable reading chairs and recite stories they have chosen themselves. Each of the five evenings will feature two readers and a musician, a choir or an ensemble. The open-air readings last about an hour. Only in bad weather does the reading stage move to the church hall of St. Petri.
There is always a moment of surprise, because the stories chosen by the presenters are only revealed on the evening of the reading. "It is precisely this unknown that arouses curiosity and makes the special charm of the event," says Dr. Hanna Petersen, who organizes and moderates these evenings.
Those who feel like it and have time can linger at the venue before or after the event and enjoy the offerings of the St. Petri Café or purchase the books presented at the stand of the Arno Adler bookstore. Admission is free.
